Facebook exercise...

I created a new Facebook account. I've used Facebook for a long time, and as far as library applications are concerned, the library could use this to keep in touch with patrons and keep them informed, not only about events going on at the library and new items, etc..., but also any sort of more in-depth issues that effect the library. It can also be used to engage patrons, and get feedback from them about our services. You can create polls, post pictures, etc... When done well, it can help increase visibility for a branch or a library. I used my name, Kyle Burkett, and the email address, thelibrarymademedoit@gmail.com, in order to distinguish the new account from my personal account. My favorite thing about it is the ability to promote items of interest and also see friends pictures.
